I have just created this blog in hopes of keeping in touch as much as possible while I volunteer myself for the entire summer up in New Hampshire at a Coed Summer Camp and then continue my travels to Paris.
I have discovered that internet access will be somewhat limited and cell phones receive no signals up in the White Mountains. I have yet to see a phone commercial that takes place in the White Mountains, so it should be interesting living in a "dead zone." I plan to update this blog fairly regularly in order to cut down on expensive phone bills that will most likely become inevitable as the summer progresses and people realize how much they miss me (I hope?).
I encourage everyone to post comments and share their ideas, I hope that this blog can become extremely interactive between my friends, family, co-workers, and yes...creepers.
I recently found this article in the Boston Globe which describes the camp I will be working at in small detail.

nope. meow was from me, the cat lady. learning how to blog from the head blogger. So, why are the White Mountains called white - are the bears white? where's the wes?
ReplyDeleteI would say they are called white mountains because the first person to discover them found them in the winter...it is pretty cold up here. At night it is about 50 every night, daytime it usualy gets to high 60's or low 70's on a sunny day. I wore 2 jackets and jeans on the 4th of July, wierd huh.
